American Flag, Honor, Service, Country, Liberty, Patriots, Veterans. These are a few of the words which describe the greatness of our Nation. We, the members of the Military Affairs Committee, are honored to be associated with the Exchange Club of Idaho Falls which also espouses similar values.

While it is the mission of the Exchange Club to “inspire our community to be a better place to live”. The mission of the Military Affairs Committee, is in part, to “enhance the quality of life for active, retired, and disabled military personnel and their families”. Neither of these would be achievable without the support of our great community.

The Military Affairs Committee is a local group of volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, both non veterans and veterans from all branches that not only assist veterans but promote understanding, coordinate with other state and national military organizations and programs, and provide emergency support and crisis intervention. We have quietly and responsibly helped needy veterans in areas such as home repairs, automobile repairs. emergency assistance with food and utilities, and provided Christmas for children of veterans. We have shipped thousands of care packages to local veterans serving overseas. We have assisted over 500 local veterans and their families in attaining to needed services.

We are honored and humbled to be a part of such a wonderful committee that serves such a noble cause. We truly live a remarkable city that reaches out not only to our veterans but to each other, we thank you for your support. We are open to all and welcome you to join us in making a difference.
